If you’ve reached this page, it’s likely you want to get to know me better. So let me share with you my personal wellness journey that got me to where I am today: vibrant, healthier and happier than ever at 40 years old.
Having been immersed in the corporate world for over 15 years, in late 2010 I was struck with a very serious stress related illness called Guttate Psoriasis, where I was hospitalised and had to undergo UV light therapy for 6 months. The daily practice of asana (physical yoga postures), making big changes to my lifestyle with nutrition, stress reduction techniques, switching to natural products, reassessing my career, and finding a loving supportive partner (who is now my husband), all helped hugely in my recovery. It was this transformative experience and through the support of my regular yoga teacher/mentor at the time, that I decided to undertake my first 200hr yoga teacher training.
I have spent the past few years immersing myself into the world of wellness and becoming the best and healthiest version of myself possible. I wish back in 2010 I had a coach or mentor to guide and support me…instead I took the long road. My yoga training was just the beginning; since then I have not stopped researching about natural health (i.e. switching to non-toxic cleaning and beauty products), completed further yoga and meditation trainings, and in 2017 gained my Holistic Health Coach certificate with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Fast forward to today; not only do I teach yoga & mindfulness meditation in Melbourne, I now coach private and corporate clients all over Australia, empowering people like YOU to rethink what being healthy really is.
To me, the term wellness encompasses many important aspects and these make up the ‘Wheel of Wellness’ that I work under; Yoga & Movement, Meditation & Mindset, Nutrition, Inner Work, Purpose and Connection.
I believe through education & knowledge, self awareness, and understanding the power of mindset, everybody can live a happy healthy life.
